Political prisoners in a number of British prisons—Teuta Hoxha, Kamran Ahmed, Qesser Zurah, Amu Gibb, Heba Muraisi, and Jon Cink—are now in the third week of a hunger strike. They have been imprisoned in relation to the campaign by Palestine Action to highlight the complicity of the British arms industry and British-based Israeli interests in the genocide of the Palestinian people. However, so determined is the British state and the Zionist-champions of the Labour government that the six, and many other activists, have been charged under terrorism laws which carry heavy prison sentences.
The Bobby Sands Trust offers support and the experience of our members to the campaign and extends greetings of solidarity with the political prisoners who are protesting their prolonged pre-trial detention, having been held for over a year without trial. Their actions were non-violent, aimed at disrupting the production of weapons used in Gaza. For more details please visit this site.
