The Bobby Sands Trust’s redesigned website was officially launched in the Felons Club, West Belfast, on Friday, 7th November, 2008. Danny Morrison, secretary, chaired the event which was addressed by Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams MP, who spoke of the historic legacy of the 1981 hunger strike and dedicated the site to the memories of the ten H-Block martyrs and to Michael Gaughan and Frank Stagg who died in prison in England.

Danny Morrison said that the Trust hopes to archive all Irish republican prison-related poems and songs since the founding of the United Irishmen, and to also eventually archive prison protest songs from other anti-imperialist struggles and anti-fascist struggles around the world.
