Find below details of the hunger strike exhibitions and speaking engagements for the month of June. People organising future event are being asked to provide the national committee with as much detailed information as possible about venues, opening times, formats and contact numbers, etc. Also, see beneath some recent media coverage of the events of 1981.

1 June (Wed) - Radisson Hotel, Letterkenny. - National Exhibition  - 3.30 p.m.

11 June (Sat) – The Wallace Arms Hotel, Millstreet, County Cork – 8.00 p.m. – Speaker ex-protesting prisoner Eoghan ‘Gino’ Mac Cormac

11 June (Sat) – Glenpark Social Club, Ardoyne Avenue, Ardoyne, Belfast  - 9.00 p.m. – The Crumlin Road Escape – Guest speakers – organised by Ardoyne ’81 Committee

18th June (Sat) - London Irish Film Centre, 50-52 Camden Square, London. 11- 4.00 p.m. - Conference – “1981 – A turning point in Irish history” - Speakers include Jennifer McCann MLA, Bik McFarlane, Bairbre de Brún MEP, Tony Benn, Dr. Kevin McNamara, Ronnie Kasrils ANC, Francis Wurtz former MEP, Roy Greenslade and Prof Christine Kinealy.

24th June (Fri) – 8. 00 p.m., Back Room, Kusanta Bar, Killinarden, Tallaght, Dublin - The 1981 hunger strike and events at that time - Speakers Seán Crowe T.D., Jim Gibney ex-National H-Block Armagh Committee, ex-H-Block prisoner (to be confirmed)

24 June (Fri) – The Darby Arms, Main St, Ballincollig Co Cork from 7 to 9pm – National Exhibition

25 June (Sat) – The Manor Hotel, Balina, County Mayo – National Exhibition followed by a panel discussion and q and a – Speakers ex-hunger striker Laurence McKeown and ex-Armagh Gaol protesting prisoner Breige Brownlee

26 June (Sun) – Leigue Cemetery, Balina, County Mayo – 1.00 p.m. - Gaughan/Stagg Commemoration – Main speaker Gerry Kelly MLA

26 June (Sun) - Mid Ulster – March from Scribe Road, unveiling of monument - Talk and National Exhibition and workshops – Gulladuff Centre, 5.00 p.m.- Speaker Séanna Walsh.

28 June (Tues) – Space Yehudi Menuhin, (PHS Building), European Parliament, Brussels – 6.30 p.m.  – Panel discussion: Speakers Sinn Féin Councillor Kevin Campbell (ex-H-Block protesting prisoner), Breige Brownlee (ex-Armagh Gaol protesting prisoner) and Chair Sinn Féin MEP Bairbre de Brún.

1 July (Fri) – Naomh Fionnbarra GAA Club, Fassaugh Avenue, Cabra, Dublin 7 – 11.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m. – National Exhibition

2 July (Sat) – Setanta GAA Club, Ballymun Road, Dublin 11 – National Exhibition
